Traditional colour analysis hands down a verdict from a single glance. Fourteen quiet observations — of your hair, eyes, skin, and the way colour behaves against you — are read together across five dimensions:
Whether your colouring leans warm, cool, or sits neutral between them.
How light or deep your natural colouring reads, hair, eyes and skin together.
How clear or gently muted your best colours run.
The spread of lightness across your features. Read from you, not from your season.
A green-neutral cast in the skin; the fifth dimension, and the one most often misread.
Why olive matters: a green-neutral cast is the most common misreading, mistaken for warmth or coolness. Read as its own dimension, it lets the season land true.
Every reading returns one of three honest states — chiara (clear), sfumata (a shading, close between two), or confermare (worth confirming in better light).
The Calculation
The method above is the whole of it — nothing is held back. The calculation carries an olive axis alongside hue, value and chroma, each standardised so none outvotes the others. Where the signals sit close, the reading names a season with its sister season beside it; where they sit too close, it declines to name one.
